"name": "VACATION. THE HOME OF BURNING HEARTS 1 by ALEXEY DUBINSKY",
"description": "An homage to Andrei Tarkovsky, burning houses, sacrifice – these are the meanings behind the fragments of works in the VACATION series. The VACATION series, comprising paintings Masquerade, Night Express and One Day of Summer, is a projection of dreams, not deep but bordering on reality, whose echoes are so closely intertwined with fantasy that they become indistinguishable. The canvases in the VACATION series incorporate elements from many different cultures, and the representation of Russian culture is one of the most striking fragments – a burning house.\n\n\nBorn in 1985 in Grozny, lives and works in Moscow and Tbilisi. In 2001-2005 studied at the Nizhny Novgorod Art College (Department of Design of the architectural environment). Graduated from the faculty of painting (studio of historical and religious painting) at the Russian Academy of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture of Ilya Glazunov in 2011. The same year Alexey won the Martini Art Weekend competition and was awarded with an educational course at Saint Martins University of London.\nIn his reflections, observations, and paintings, Alexey Dubinsky explores human life from different perspectives. He likes to observe an everyday reality of people and the way they try to spot something extraordinary, incredible, metaphysical in everyday life, while being aware of its prosaic mortality.\n",
